Soft gato, warm gato

gato: cat

It has been over a month now since I’ve lived in Madrid. Although there are many other cities to see, I thought it would still be a nice idea to share some of the things I’d still like to see/do here:

  • Watch the sunset at Templo de Debod
  • See a rooftop terrace
  • Go to the Reina Sofia museum
  • See live music
  • Go hiking – if I can find a way to see Valle de los Caídos (Valley of the Fallen), that would be amazing.
  • Eat patatas bravas and bocadillo de calamari

It’s not a very long list but it’s a start!

Yesterday was spent with some friends exploring the southern neighbourhoods of the city centre and cooking dinner together, including having a drink at a cat cafe – La Gatoteca! It costs 4 Euros for 30 minutes and 6 Euros for 1 hour to spend time with the cats that walk around freely. All money received goes towards taking care of the cats! I found it ironic seeing lots of cats as dogs appear to be more popular in the streets of Madrid.

Some of my favourite pictures:
